1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup margarine
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup buttermilk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a bowl, combine water, margarine, ginger, and chocolate chips. Add butter and buttermilk, mix until melted. Pour mixture into loaf pan.
Arrange brick of chips in a medium dish; moisten to desired consistency. Layer peanut butter layer of chips, 1 2/3 cup of butter and 1 cup flour in a shallow layer on top of pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, until golden. Transfer to wire rack to cool.
