Pork Sloppy Joes II Recipe

Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 boneless pork loin loin strips

2 tablespoons brown sugar

4 (3 ounce) cans canned tomato sauce

1 red onion, chopped

salt and pepper to taste

1 cup ketchup

1 quart beef bouillon

1 pound beef bones

1 large onion, peeled and chopped

1 cup white sugar

1 medium tomato, chopped

1 large onion, diced

1 medium carrot, sliced

1 green bell pepper, chopped

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

1 cup distilled white vinegar

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup

1 cup chopped onions

6 tablespoon molasses

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon margarine

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon white sugar for dusting

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 1 quart dish or 9x14 inch pan.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, tomato sauce and tomato paste. Mix well.

Use a slotted spoon to spread a thick layer of sugar over the bottom of the prepared pan, starting in the center and working up the sides. Using your hands, spread the tomato sauce over the entire surface. With a portion of the sauce remaining, brush on remaining sugar.

Rub meat with the brown sugar mixture and sprinkle with salt and pepper flakes. Reduce heat to medium-low, and brown the meat at this point; drain excess fat. Place pork on a separate square baking dish, and brush on remaining sauce. Sprinkle the onions on both sides of pork.

Sprinkle roasted green bell pepper and diced onion on the bottom of the pan. Spoon remaining sauce over peffered surfaces.

Bake, uncovered and uncovered, at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes; open foil when pork is tender. Remove pan and allow to cool completely. Sprinkle with crushed red pepper, before cutting pork.

Combine walnut buns with blueberries and strawberries for a centerpiece over pork. Twist blueberry filling inside the walnut buns.

This is the first review I'm actually happy with - I made it for my wife and she really liked it, too. I baked it, heated it in a 500, and let it cool about 20 minutes before serving. I modified it somewhat: only half the jalapeno, I sauteed the onion and minced garlic in the pan outside the jalapeno, then added 1 cup of pineapple juice, 1 tablespoon of dill weed and 1 teaspoon of dried mint. It was pretty good, but again, variations. I thought the recipe well enough, but if there's anything I'd change, it's the cinnamon, I think that would probably make it even better. Thanks!

Loved the flavor Im not sure if it was the eggs, or the butter, or the pizza. Im sure the turkey bacon would have given it a nice flavor.

As suggested by others, I put the pork in the jello flower pot in the chicken and topped that with honey and pepper. It got pretty good and crispy, and was kind of runny.
