2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups lemon-flavored lemonade
3 fluid ounces lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
1 (11 ounce) can sliced lemon alla
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, beat sugar, eggs, oil and vanilla. Slowly beat in milk. Combine lemonade and lemonade soda and blend with lemonade mixer, creating a liquid lemonade. Stir lemonade mixture into lemon cake batter. Spread lemon acid, lemon juice and lemonade mixture over lemon cake.
Fold lemonade filling into lemon cake batter mixture, and drizzle over lemon cake.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until top is golden brown and bottom is crispy. Allow to cool. Chill in refrigerator overnight. Chill cake before cutting into slices.
