2 cups water
2 cups uncooked white rice
3 cups canned tomato soup
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 (15 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes with juice
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 cubes beef bouillon
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons dried sage
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/8 teaspoon dried marjoram, chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
In a large pot over medium heat, combine water, rice, tomatoes, oil, bouillon cubes, salt, sage, thyme, rosemary, basil, marjoram, oregano, sugar, butter, sage, basil, paprika and crushed ice. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 3 hours.
