3 pounds lean ground beef
3 ounces sliced onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 (10 ounce) can tomato paste
1 (10 ounce) package uncooked spaghetti
6 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated pinto beans
1 (16 ounce) package lasagna noodles
1 (16 ounce) can whole tomato sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bring a large pot of water to your boiling. Add beef and onion to pot, stirring frequently. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 5 to 6 minutes. Drain fat from pot by separating stock. Remove carrots and celery from tomatoes. Stir steak mixture into vegetables.
Stir in tomato paste, spaghetti, pinto beans, tomatoes, whole tomato sauce and salt and pepper.
Bake in preheated oven until thickened, about 8 to 10 minutes. Trim edges of foil to permit baking. Allow to cool, store, covered, in refrigerator.
