1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 (8 ounce) package beef stroganoff
1 cup water
2 cups milk
Melt 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce in a medium bowl in large skillet over medium heat. Brown the beef on all sides, turning brown or golden brown. Drain excess fat.
Return browned beef to skillet and cook over medium heat until evenly brown. Drain excess fat. Add enough water to cover meat and liquid.
Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low and keep simmering until liquid is reduced by half. Reduce heat to medium low and add the milk. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer until thickened, about 10 minutes.
Stir in the beef and water. Heat through.
