1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. In another large bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, butterscotch schnapps, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Beat butter mixture into flour mixture with electric mixer. Stir flour mixture into egg mixture alternately, until just incorporated. Using long teaspoons, mix batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of each bread comes out clean. Cool completely, refrigerate for at least 5 hours before cutting into 8 squares.
