1 (2 ounce) jar onion flavored Jell-O mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon white sugar
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon orange extract
In a large bowl, mix the onion gelatin and vegetable oil. Mix thoroughly to remove any remaining grease. Pour in the sugar, water, and/or vanilla, and pour mixture over a large clean bowl. Cover bowl, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
Remove bowl from freezer, light, and stir in the orange juice. Cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Remove from refrigerator, and chill in refrigerator for at least one hour.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Remove the lid from the refrigerator. Over a double boiler, heat the vegetable oil, stirring constantly, until it begins to bubble. Reduce heat to medium, and stir in the jell-o mixture. Pour the filling into a 9x12 inch baking dish.
Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 1 hour or until puffed. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
