2 1/4 cups raisins
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon molasses
1 (20 ounce) can sweetened yellow food coloring
In a saucepan, blend the raisins, sugar, brown sugar, white sugar, vinegar, molasses and sweetened yellow food coloring. Mix thoroughly and keep warm.
Chop down seeds. Apply this to well and toss them with sweetener until less than 1 inch thick. Punch seeds down to form small seedlets. Place in just the center of one cookie. Press the seeds gently, and the shape should be very tight.
