1 cup crystallized sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon dried lemon pepper
1/2 teaspoon saltine
1 cup shredded carrots
2 cups cooked white potatoes
2 large carrots, peeled and sliced
1 cup Russian dressing
1 cup chicken broth
1 medium onion, quartered
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Place crystallized sugar and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly; remove from heat. Avoid using a metal spoon; stir every minute or so. Return mixture to a heat and then stir in milk, lemon pepper, saltine and carrots. Drizzle over pasta and vegetables. Sprinkle with Italian dressing and serve immediately.
