5 medium rices
1/2 cup uncooked white rice
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup uncooked white rice
1 pint milk
1 quart water
Place the rices in a large saucepan with enough water to cover. Bring water to a boil, and stir in rice and milk. Reduce heat, and continue to cook, stirring occasionally until all of the water has been involved.
Remove rice from the water, and let cool completely. Stir in the milk and bring back to a boil. Add the boiling water, then stir until the rice absorbs and water is absorbed. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for five minutes. Stirring constantly, cook and stir for about 5 minutes, turning constantly, until rice is cooked through and crisp. Drain the rice, and stir it into the rice liquid. Spoon rice mixture into 8 individual serving bowls.
