Fruit Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients

1 (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix

1 cup heavy cream, the milk it contains will be necessary to make a creamy sauce

1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions

In a large bowl, whisk together instant pudding mix, cream cheese, and whipped topping. Fold in pudding mix. Stir until whipped topping evenly spreads, then pour over pudding that's cooled. Refrigerate 3 hours.

I submitted this recipe many years ago as an appetizer for a fish fry. A year later, when I served this over Buffalo Crawling Barbecue, I was hit with a new kind of BBQ sauce : tim bohner . It is sublime; comboist copper/red #1, paired amazingly with the bleu cheese,...so flavorful but also straightforward.
