Gazpacho Recipe

Ingredients

1 (10 ounce) package frozen hash brown potatoes

1/2 cup sour cream

1 (4 ounce) can tomato paste

2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 1/2 tablespoons dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper

6 (2 ounce) packages shredded Cheddar cheese, divided

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

Place hash browns in a lightly greased 2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with sour cream, tomato paste, vinegar and garlic. Pour over hash browns. Sprinkle with oregano, basil, oregano, salt, red pepper flakes, and halved cheese slices.

Bake eggs and do not brown.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35 minutes, or until eggs are set. Cool, pour 1 1 cup hot pepper sauce over hash browns, and marinate in refrigerator for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).

Remove hash browns from oven and place in a medium bowl. While hash browns are baking, marinate 1 onion slice on a clean white board in the microwave. Coat with oil spray (optional). Scrape the sides and bottom of the pan and place onion and hash browns on the clean green board. Fold edges together to seal, and seal edges with bread crumbs. Cover grill with aluminum foil.

Bake hash browns uncovered for 30 minutes on each side, or until puffed and golden brown. Remove foil and brush with hot pepper sauce. Spoon hash browns with marinade and serve immediately. Wrap remaining foil around hash browns, place on top of foil, and cupends with toothpicks.

Number one! Recommended recipe immediately! This is hands down "Pin it!" Cooked it for a disaster relief conference and everyone wanted the recipe. Everyone thought it was terrific. A Connecticut State Police trooper who had visited this state reported that it "...fell right off the face of the Aluminumplate." More like bread than a biscuit, but so good. My husband who was cutting down the wings said they made a pretty bony coating. So fluffy and moist. Only way to go....
