I have made this recipe for years and it is a favorite. It takes quite a bit longer (but worth it) to prep it all that way, so you are probably better off waiting until dinner is finished (or when your husband comes home from work and you have to decide whether or not you want some more pasta for dinner, or whether you want to just leave it alone and just bake it until you are happy with the finished product). I don't think it needs to be this long, and it is not like I/we actually spent a lot of time fixing it, so don't get defensive if it takes a little while to whip it up. The finished product is moist and delicious, and if you are patient and don't mind a little tweaking, is probably ready to go in about a minute. I/we are not fans of olive oil, so I/we leave it out altogether.

This is such a good recipe. Super easy and so good on the go! I put everything in a zip-lock bag and didn't even bother with turning/manipulating it. I just left it alone and everything turned out great.
