1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups bread flour
1/3 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground white
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
4 eggs
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 (12 ounce) cans bread cubes
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, stir together the olive oil, flour, sugar, white salt, and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, cream butter until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the salt and 1/2 cup of the flour at a time, ending with the flour. Stir in 1 cup flour at a time, until well mixed, then fold in the center.
Shape dough into loaf, being careful not to break lumps. Place loaf onto a lightly greased baking sheet, and sprinkle with bread cubes.
Bake for 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a towel is pulled back and a knife inserted into center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before slicing. Slice left-to-right lengthwise into 1/4 inch chunks.
