Fresh Strawberry Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups water

2 cups distilled white vinegar

2 cups white sugar

1 teaspoon lemon zest

3/4 cup strawberries, sliced

Directions

In a small saucepan, bring water, vinegar and sugar to a boil. Stir in lemon zest, then remove from heat and mix well. Pour over pie, stirring by hand.

I added garlic powder, but change the soak time to 3 hours, and also use Oats bran flakes. I actually had some organic Oats from the bag, but i didn't put them in the batter. This is very good. I ended up making french toast with some of the ingredients, and it was really good. Sometimes i just make a sloppy joe and eat my greens.
