3 eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9 inch round pans.
Stir together the sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, milk, vanilla, eggs, milk mixture. Beat in the flour mixture until blended. Add the salt, cinnamon and baking soda; beat until well blended.
Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
