Loved this! Took out the olive oil and shredded cabbage and it turned out great! I put a little more cheese in the mix (a little more feta and mozzarella). I also substituted white button mushrooms for the olive oil. Good mix! My husband is still trying to wrap his head around the idea that this is a dinner...

Expertise in this category has to do with making small talk while preparing and serving food. I have found that my American audiences (I'm Spanish-speaking) do not understand the concept of "Garlic For Tidbits". In other words, if I put the potato in the olive oil and garlic for a bit, it will get layered and absorbed by the veggies; next, I'll try adding mushrooms and other minor seasonings. Finally, I'll try adding some red onion and garlic in the small amounts I've already cooked. Anything that makes cooking easier and provides more nutrition in my family.

Yummy! Used this recipe for dinner roll as a base. But, as one reviewer noted, once you add any pasta, you're basically making a sauce or a salad. And, this recipe is no exception. So, for the last 30 minutes of the cooking time, I put the salmon fillets in a bowl and tossed with each of the ingredients, except basil, for the last 10 minutes. After that, I turned the fish and let it finish cooking. The fish could easily be served plain. But, this recipe is flexible. You can add sliced baguettes along with red onion and vary the outcome. I also served this with grilled chicken breast. This was the first time I cooked liver to perfection in the crock pot and it was delicious. Even without the panko, this was an incredibly flavorful dish. Thanks for sharing this beautiful recipe with us!
