2/3 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
1 egg
1 pint lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheet.
In a 3 quart saucepan, heat brown sugar and saccharin over medium-low heat. Stir together and gradually add melted butter, stirring constantly until or until mixture just starts to thicken. Carefully add to the mixture, stirring and combining the mixture with the yogurt, walnuts and marshmallows. Stir in the egg and lemon-lime soda.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
Bake for 7 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool completely on wire racks. Allow your cookies to cool on baking sheet for 1 to 2 hours.
