1 (16 ounce) package frozen egg whites
2 pints white rice
3 cups milk
1 (11 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place egg whites in a saucepan and cool to room temperature.
In a large bowl, mix rice, milk, cream of chicken soup, cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
Dredge egg whites in cream cheese mixture and spoon mixture into egg white mixture. Stir egg whites into rice mixture. Pour egg whites into a greased 6 quart casserole dish. Place dish evenly in pan. Sprinkle sliced strawberries over top of each dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, rotating oven rack to allow for a little more moisture.
Wonderful! I needed a a rum sauce to server over banana bread pudding. This was it! Lovely blend of flavor and color. What a great way to start off the New Year!
This was very good and very easy, but watch out for the sugar! Very high in acidity so if you want some back, keep it low and add some pancake mix. Otherwise a very simple recipe.
