1 pound pork shoulder, cut into 3 inch cubes
1 cup butter
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 (4.5 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons table salt
almonds for garnish
In a large bowl, combine the butter, oil, tomatoes, sugar, salt, and water. Add to potato mixture and stir regularly until all ingredients are thoroughly coated. Sprinkle top with a cherry or pecans, if desired.
