1 1/2 cups butter
2 eggs
1 1/3 cups white sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 3/4 cups milk
1 (12 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 pints smoked salmon
2 cups finely chopped Swiss cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda and milk. Mix in the flour mixture, then beat in the cream cheese. Mix in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake in preheated oven for 37 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese, Swiss cheese and salmon mixture. Spoon mixture into the cake pan, and sprinkle with the Swiss cheese.
