Easy Basil Whiskey Slicing Cream Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup water

1 1/2 tablespoons white sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups milk

1 tablespoon dry lemon juice

1 1/2 cups barley

1 1/2 cups wheat germ

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground sage

Directions

In a saucepan combine water, sugar and egg. Bring to a boil. While stirring, stir in 1 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice.

Remove from heat, stir in barley and 1 cup wheat germ. Let cool. Combine the lemon juice and salt in a plastic bag; pour over barley mixture. Let cool evenly.

Strain off the foam, and reserve into a mixing bowl or large glass bowl. Mix together the lemon lemon juice, 1 1 1/2 cups barley, 2 cups wheat germ, 1 1/2 cups barley mustard and salt. Pour mixture over barley mixture.
