1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup uncooked white rice (with liquid)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 (10 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium saucepan, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Remove from heat, and mix in rice and brown sugar.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 minutes, or until rice is cooked.
Remove rice from oven. Meanwhile, prepare the brown sauce.
Spread 1/2 cup of the cooked rice on the bottom of a 9 inch (3.5 inch) square baking dish. Pour 1/2 cup of the meat brown sauce over rice. Spoon brown sauce over meat, corn and vegetables. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup rice.
Cover edges of baking dish with aluminum foil. Lay foil over pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 5 to 8 minutes, until heated through and serving.
