1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 (1 ounce) squares unsalted butter
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 cup sliced red onion
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 cup Gruyere cheese
Prepare the cheese according to package directions. Form the softened cream cheese into 3/4 inch balls and arrange on a 9x13 inch baking dish. Brush the mushrooms and onion over the cream cheese balls. Sprinkle the sour cream over the mushrooms and onion. Sprinkle the Monterey Jack cheese over cream cheese balls. Place the cream cheese mixture over all. Sprinkle the Gruyere cheese over Monterey Jack cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
By the end of the night, the mixture should have thickened.
