1/2 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and vanilla. Mix well and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium.
Beat eggs into the brown sugar mixture. Stir in flour. Gradually mix into the creamed mixture, stirring in at a time until well blended.
Slowly pour mixture into prepared crust. Cover and bake in preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until set. Cool completely before cutting into 1 inch squares.
