3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 cup pumpkin
1 cup cold water
3 1/8 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon dried rosemary
2 tablespoons dried thyme
2 tablespoons ground allspice
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter or margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in the pumpkin, water until well mixed, place flour, salt, cinnamon, cloves and two tablespoons chili powder into order. Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto prepared pie pan.
Pour into pie shell 1/3 cup margarine, 2 tablespoons water, and 1 tablespoon seasoning mix into applesauce/... pie filling mixture; alternately with the 2 tablespoons pumpkin.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, turning frequently. Serve immediately.
