Cheese Toast Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

2 eggs, beaten

1/2 teaspoon paprika

2 tablespoons butter, melted

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 cup chopped cooked ham

1/3 cup sliced mushrooms

1 (8 ounce) package shredded Swiss cheese

2 cups lettuce leaves, divided

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/3 cup chopped celery

1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper

1/2 cup chopped green onions

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease or line 12 lunch buns until set.

In a large bowl combine cream cheese, sharp Cheddar cheese, eggs, paprika, butter, vanilla extract, ham, mushrooms, half of the Swiss cheese, remaining Swiss cheese, lettuce, onion, celery and green pepper. Mix well.

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until bubbly. Cool. Cool slightly before cutting into squares.
