3 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
8 eggs
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons butter
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons milk
In a large bowl, combine confectioners' sugar, milk, vanilla extract and butter. Mix well. Add eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract and butter. Mix well. Cover, refrigerate for one hour.
In a large glass or metal bowl, beat eggs into butter until they are fully incorporated. Mix eggs into the butter mixture until well blended. Blend in sugar, vanilla extract and milk. Beat in butter mixture until blended. Mix in eggs, milk and milk. Fold in vanilla and milk. Fold in eggs, milk and vanilla.
Pour batter into 12 greased 12-in. x 12-in. x 1-in. x 2-in. loaf pans. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) or until bubbles appear in centers of the loaf. Cool loaf in pan for 10 minutes before removing from pan. Cool completely.
To Make White Glaze: In a small saucepan, whisk together white sugar and 1 1/2 cups sugar until smooth. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved. Scrape bowl, and beat in milk until mixture is thick.
To Make Fruit-Sugar Glaze: Mix remaining sugar, vanilla extract, butter, egg, milk, egg and milk until smooth. Spread glaze over loaf.
