1 (16 ounce) jar sliced almonds, coarsely chopped
1 (16 ounce) can whole celery, drained
1 (8 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 cup beer
1 cup kielbasa sausage, sliced
1 (6 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 cup chopped green onions
2 tablespoons margarine, softened
2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
1 tablespoon lemon juice
In a medium bowl, stir almonds and celery into the dumplings. Mix the beer, kielbasa, sliced mushrooms, green onions and margarine and stir into the dumplings. Roll the slices of sausage into balls and place in the prepared baking dish. Spread the filling over the salmon and nestle in the center of the rolled sausage. Roll the mushrooms in the margarine and sprinkle over the meat and vegetables. Spread the lemon juice over the meat and vegetables. Roll the slices of sausage in the whipped cream and sprinkle over the mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 3 hours. You will be left with a crust that is slightly brown.
