French Toast II Recipe

Ingredients

8 slices white bread

1/4 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup raisins

2 tablespoons honey

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup margarine, melted

4 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon cocoa powder

Directions

Spread bread in a large bowl or 12 bread pans. Cut butter into the flour, then slowly stir in raisins. Pour mixture into bread pans. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (220 degrees C).

Spread pan panfuls of melted margarine over bread slices. Sprinkle with honey and nutmeg. Sprinkle with salt. Spread butter mixture over bread slices.

Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Layer brownie pieces over bread slices. Bake 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Remove from oven, brush with cocoa, and sprinkle with vanilla extract.
