1 egg, beaten
1 cup honey
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup shortening
1 cup milk
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup coarsely chopped almonds
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup raisins
Arrange cookie sheets on medium baking sheet.
Beat together egg, honey, oil, shortening and milk; stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cut in almonds and walnuts until necessary. Stir in raisins, then smooth out with knife. Place in cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
