4 tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoon chopped pecans
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon electric currant extract
1 (16 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (10 ounce) package frozen maraschino cherries, thawed
1/2 large orange, sliced
2 tablespoons lemon zest
2 teaspoons plain yogurt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a blender combine sugar, pecans, lemon juice, pecans, lemon peel, electric currant extract, pineapple and maraschino cherries. Blend until smooth. Pour mixture into a large container or steamer, and refrigerate overnight.
Stir in orange juice, lemon zest, yogurt, and vanilla. Place lid on container and allow to steam. Remove from steam and stir in pineapple, cherries and orange slices. Serve warm or cold
