2 (14 ounce) cans whole strawberries, drained
1 (2 ounce) can whole cream cheese
1 (7 ounce) can green food coloring
1 (4 ounce) can sliced almonds
2 tablespoons grenadine syrup
1 (.25 ounce) package instant cream cheese at room temperature
1 cup water
1 cup hot milk
In a medium saucepan, stir together strawberries, cream cheese, green food coloring, almonds, grenadine syrup, and cream cheese. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Continue to simmer, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.
While the strawberries and cream cheese are simmering, remove from the heat, stir in the milk, then pour the mixture into the pan and beat well. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the strawberries and cream cheese mixture just before serving.
