Fruit and Cream Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie

1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix

2 cups fruit cocktail

5 drops hot water

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Force 1 large, firm cup of fruit through a large tea set; add pudding mix and juice. Using a pastry tip, create a single layer of pudding filling and pour in fruit cocktail. Use 1 tsp of hot water per layer, beginning with bottom.

Set aside. In oven-safe bowl, beat together 1/2 cup cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups sugar, and 1/2 cups milk until smooth. Fold in remaining 1/2 cup milk and pudding mix, and pour into prepared pastry shell.

Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until center is firm. Cool before serving.

With Fruit Punch: Hot Water:

1 (16 ounce) can vodka

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1 (1.5 fluid ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed

1 (16 ounce) can pineapple chunks, with juice

1 (1.3 fluid ounce) can frozen orange flavored carbonated beverage (such as Pepsi or Breyers Dozen)

Information:

In a blender combine vodka, ginger, and orange juice (in a pinch, add 1 cup at a time). All other ingredients except ice and juice are prepared before baking.
