1 cup butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the brown sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Combine the flour, salt, melted margarine and salt. Mix well and pipe or score the dough on to an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) for 10 to 12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove cookie from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
