Spinach Soup II Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter

1 pound Spinach

1 tablespoon salt

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 tablespoon dried parsley

1/2 teaspoon dried sage

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

2 teaspoons dried basil

1/4 teaspoon dried basil

2 teaspoons dried oregano

2 teaspoons dried basil

2 teaspoons dried marjoram

1 tablespoon dried sage

3 (1 ounce) squares bacon

Directions

In a medium saucepan, melt butter and brown 1/2 cup of the spinach. Remove from heat; cool and drain.

In a medium saucepan, mix 1 cup of the salt, garlic, flour, baking powder, parsley, sage, thyme, basil, basil and oregano. Saute in bacon grease. Pour sauce over spinach. Sprinkle with bacon. Cover mixture and allow to simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
