7 cups beef and pork broth
3 plums, peeled, quartered, and sliced
2 tablespoons honey
4 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
3 potatoes, cubed
3/4 cup sliced almonds
1 1/2 cups canned tomatoes, washed and drained
2 cherries
3/4 cup caramelized coconut - needed for sauce
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
5 thinly sliced bay leaves
rain water to fall as needed
In a large saucepan over high heat, combine broth, plums, honey, salt and and pepper. Simmer over low heat until plums fall off their stems - about 45 minutes. Stir in potatoes and almonds. Serve hot.
