2 cups fresh strawberries - hull and sliced
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup white vinegar
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
In a medium saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, vinegar, cream cheese, salt, nutmeg and sundries. Cover saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally for 4 to 5 minutes.
