2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons taco seasoning
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon black pepper pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 cup chicken broth
1/3 cup water
In a large stock pot, add the garlic, black pepper, taco seasoning, and clove garlic. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes for flavor and tenderness.
Stir in the chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, for 1 to 2 minutes and then remove from heat. Simmer about 1 more minute; strain over a bowl and strain salsa.
I made this for my family and it was gone! No leftovers:) Maybe next time I make bread, I'll add garlic powder and leave it in the active ingredient (for now, at least). Use the recipes on this site for inspiration. I used to make this every Thanksgiving, and every Christmas Eve since I was a kid. Thanks for the recipe, it's a keeper.
