1 (14 ounce) can fruit flavored Jell-O
1/4 cup vegetable oil
4 bananas, diced
1 small onion, diced
1 cup banana preserves
2 cubes ice cubes
In a mixing bowl mix fruit gelatin and oil until well blended. Stir in bananas, onion and bananas. Froth 30 or 40 pints of fruit mixture. Fill pints with fruit gelatin mixture. Chill overnight.
While fruit mixture is chilling, heat vegetable oil in a 1 quart saucepan over medium heat. Add banana puree; stir. Gradually stir in fruit gelatin mixture, stopping with a splash. Remove from pan and cool quickly.
Pour fruit mixture into fruit glass. Garnish with chopped bananas and oranges. Serve hot or cold, both equally.
