1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup chopped onion
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 green onions, chopped (optional)
1 cup skim milk
2 tablespoons prepared white cheese dressing
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon white sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup chopped fresh parsley
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Brown onion and garlic in oil. Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until onion is golden. Stir in green onions, white cheese dressing, salt, sugar, nutmeg, parsley and onion mixture. Return to a medium heat.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook 10 minutes or until mixture is thickened.
