1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
1 (6 ounce) can chicken broth
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1 (6 ounce) can Monterey Jack cheese
Place chicken pieces in a large 13x9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle mushrooms over chicken, then pour chicken broth over mushrooms. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
In a medium saucepan, melt butter or margarine, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
Place chicken pieces over mushrooms and pour butter mixture over all. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Serve chicken over sauce in 2 portions or in individual dishes.
