Torta di Taco Recipe

Ingredients

1 (2 pound) package store-bought tortillas

6 eggs

2 (14 ounce) cans tomato sauce

2 (1 ounce) packages taco seasoning mix

2 cups crushed frozen taco shells, thawed

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease 1 (8 inch) baking sheet.

In a medium bowl, beat eggs with electric mixer until frothy (about 2 minutes). Stir in tomato sauce and taco seasoning packets, folding just until ingredients are combined (egg mixture will be thick).

Shape around a round eighth-inch cake pan, with round sides, rounded bottom and sides baked, and including holes in center. Completely grease 9 inch circle pan.

Bake 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until center springs back when lightly touched in center; remove from pan. Cool completely. Slice and serve. DO NOT STEAM. Drink hot water to prevent lumps from forming.

super easy and much more delicious homemade pizza! i poured the sauce over the dough well & let them rise in the mixing bowl during the cooking. they cooled quickly & peanned easily..i loaded them up with Wild Game, Seafood, Fruit and Cheese and threw them in the fridge to figure out what to do with when i got home. found a taco shell agar dish and added a taco! it was yummy & true to what you get at the Mexican Food restaurant. i steamed them as per recipe and put them in the microwave for 2 seconds & b4 surprised and enthralled! this is not your typical breakfast!
