2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
5 teaspoons shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups milk
1 cup margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

5 cups butter
1 (20 ounce) can whole milk chocolate syrup
1 (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C.) Grease and flour 2 9-inch round pans.
In a large bowl, combine cocoa powder, shortening, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, baking soda and milk. Mix well. Beat margarine, whole milk chocolate syrup, instant vanilla pudding, pecans and butter until well blended.
Place batter into prepared pans. Bake in oven until a wooden toothpick inserted into center of each pan comes out clean, about 40 minutes. Cool completely before removing from pans. Cool on wire rack. Serve immediately.
