Slow Cooker Chicken White Chicken Recipe


1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut into thin strips

4 cups water

6 carrots, peeled and diced

3 onions, diced

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 cups frozen corn kernels, thawed

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 (10 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables

1 tablespoon dried chives

salt to taste

1 tablespoon dried thyme


Mix 4 cups water, 4 carrots, 3 onions, oil in slow cooker. Place the chicken, carrots and onions into the slow cooker. Cover and cook for approximately 1/2 hour on low setting.

Remove carrots and onions and place in the slow cooker. Season with garlic powder and corn. Cook for approximately 5 to 6 hours (depending on the size of your slow cooker, you may have to adjust). Stir together the mixed vegetables, mixed vegetables, chives and salt. Cover and cook for approximately 6 hours (depending on the size of your slow cooker). Season with thyme, sugar and chicken white.

Remove chicken and vegetables. Mix in thyme. Add Chicken and Vegetable in slow cooker, return to the same pot and stir again. Cover and cook approximately 4 hours on low setting. Serve over pasta or soup noodles while cooking.

Loved it! This was truly delicious! Couldn't have picked a better date to have plain old ribs for my family to enjoy. I did ask first, but they didn't seem to want them. I also didn't ask if they wanted soup or salad, so I only asked for onions and carrots. WTG Chef John!
