1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 (12 ounce) jar caramel ice cream topping
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a medium bowl, stir together the chocolate chips and 1/2 cup sugar. Stir in the vanilla, cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until smooth. Stir in the remaining 1 cup of sugar, eggs and vanilla. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
