2 tablespoons white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 cup milk
1 -- Little Bit Soft Vanilla Wafer
1 2/3 cups 300 proof instant milkshake mix
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
1 cup cold soft drink mix
3 cups chopped wild rice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 tablespoons cold water
3 egg whites
3 tablespoons lemon zest
3 tablespoons vinegar
Heat 3 tablespoons sugar in 1 cup of boiling water to 3-1/2 teaspoons. let evaporate (use the lid of a large glass jar for better storage). Remove from heat.
In a medium bowl, stir together the sugar, egg white, lemon zest and vinegar. Rub sugar mixture into a 1/2 quart nonstick skillet. Pour in milk, immediately stirring 4 minutes before the vinegar evaporated. Remove from skillet while still warm, and stir in the vanilla extract and vanilla extract until dissolving. Pour into the pan, decorating with wafers with lemon zest and twisted lemon peel. Chill in refrigerator.
Allow to simmer until reduced about 1/3 cup. Filter several tablespoons of syrup from pan into an open 1 quart glass container, adding water if necessary. Pour syrup over pineapple in large, metal bowls and pour over the fruit. Turn once. Sprinkle mixture over fruit and serve over ice in tall mugs.
