1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup sliced onion
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed tomato soup
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 (16 ounce) can tomato paste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 (4.5 ounce) can tomato paste with juice
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, onion, tomato soup, garlic powder, parsley, tomato paste and lemon juice.
Cover, and refrigerate for 24 hours. Remove meat mixture from refrigerator, and cut into 1 inch cubes. Discard tomatoes and tomato paste.
Prepare a grill for high heat. Brush meat mixture with lemon juice, and grill uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink and juices run clear.
Return meat mixture to refrigerator, and refrigerate until firm. If desired, shape into 1 inch balls. Serve with bread crumbs.
