Mandarin Tea Spread Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/3 cups white sugar

1 tablespoon kirsch

1 1/4 cups sliced fresh pineapple

2 pounds sliced almonds

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 cup instant sugar

3 tablespoons butter

1 cup applesauce

1 cup milk

1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Pour sugar, kirsch and pineapple into a large mixing bowl. Stir in butter until smooth, then pour in lemon juice. Beat in sugar and lemon juice until blended. Stir in pecans. Chill until serving.

I used Petticoat-Drape, but else would have made the bread. It was ok--I may make it again--I did leave out the Tabasco. I was worried that the hot sauce would offend some people, but they didn`t seem to mind.
